“The way I sit in this body and mind. Yeah that confuses me”
Set in that nostalgic, primary school classroom we all remember, misSfits takes us through the alumni of Miss Elliot’s class and those that have experienced the feelings of being a ‘baby gay’. All whilst Miss Elliot starts to reflect on her own personal choices in life. Using verbatim and real voices of the queer community (along with some fun audience classroom activities) misSfits was originally developed for A Pinch of Vault’s festival in 2024 and it received rave reviews and response.
Established in 2018 in Bristol, Bullet Theatre has performed shows in Bristol, London and Edinburgh. Since 2021 they have been in collaboration with Helen’s own company hileyproductive that has created award-winning original, theatre and film productions. As a non-binary creative from the North of England, Helen always strives to create regional stories about the extraordinary everyday.
misSfits transports you to that familiar primary school classroom, celebrating the individuals who begin their journey of self-discovery.
