The story follows Dan, a young man grappling with the sudden loss of his father, and the unexpected helping hand of Brandon, his polar opposite and rather disliked friend. I’m Fine, It’s Just The Wine
He just wants her safe. She just wants her life. Is there a place in the world for both?
Woman and Man are the epitome of the modern couple in love. He likes Eurovision, she takes the piss. On her twenty-third birthday their small London flat hosts vegan pancakes and her dying need to get ready for a big night out. But he doesn’t want her to go. Not after what happened last night. Because what happened last night can never happen again.
‘I’m Fine, It’s Just the Wine’ is a fast paced two-hander driven by feminist themes and witty comedy. It is a fresh showcase on how toxic masculinity can affect the non toxic man and explores what happens when a woman refuses to be labelled a victim.

Blending absurdity and comedy with poignant reflections on solidarity, Lost Property poses the provocative question: What do women truly owe each other?

Love Hurts
An ageing Huddersfield Dominatrix has a surprising visit from Death – but he’s had a rebranding. She’s not going to be beaten into submission and he’s hiding from his past. Love Hurts is part drama, part comedy, and part philosophical musing on the concept of dying. Two Foolish’s most recent play was described as ‘Extraordinarily well-written... probably the finest new short play of the Fringe’ (Fringe Review, Brighton).

People
Different characters in different timelines live their lives far removed from one another. Each walks the earth in their own time, with their own personality, their own choices, the completely different paths they follow. Thin and random threads weave their distant existences. The only thing that unites them is that they all share the same face.
It is said that for each person, there are seven living doppelgängers in the world. If that is true, then how many people might have existed throughout history, living their lives with our exact same face?
Who were these people? What choices did they make? What were they looking for? And what are we looking for?
Anna Manuelli, best known to UK audiences for her recent role in SAS: Rogue Heroes 2, by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, now brings to the stage a bold and intriguing solo performance. Here, everything changes—timelines, contexts, choices, personalities. The only constant is the face, carrying the same questions and the same insatiable search for meaning.

Relative Sonics
Relative Sonics is an experimental new work that reimagines Thomas Edison’s
invention of the world’s first phonograph. Through the echoed relationships of two
playful, restless teenagers and the older, resilient love between Edison and his wife, the
play unfolds a landscape shaped by memory and presence, love and loss, and the fragile
boundary between technology and humanity. In the intricate web of past and present,
we are confronted with the cost of chasing permanence in a fleeting world. Relative
Sonics also traces the quiet, often unseen labour of those who hold space for visionaries,
those who wait, witness, and carry the weight of dreaming while others chase the
unreachable. Happenings Stage, a London-based theatre collective, debuts this original
production by playwright and director Mingming Liu. Dedicated to creating bold new
work that taps into the spirit of the now, Happenings brings the remembered and the
imagined to life through the lasting power of a well-told story, one that lingers long
after the lights go down.

Who the hell is Robert Wayne?
Lily Cheng Wangshuo believed that every interaction that could have been a fist fight, should have been a fist fight, which is probably why she ended up here. Burn Baby Burn: LA Inferno
LA is burning. When a pair of old Angelenos lose everything, they must navigate overwhelming grief, toxic ash and paperwork purgatory, surrounded by clueless celebs, soulless politicians and insurance vampires. 6000 miles away, their (very) anxious daughter is trying really hard not to unravel.
Burn Baby Burn: LA Inferno is a stripped-back, sharp-witted mix of storytelling, satire, and songs, exploring the human cost of climate change and the humans fanning the flames. Asking questions that nobody wants to answer like: why was LA’s biggest reservoir empty? What the hell is a ‘firenado’? And just how quickly will you be cancelled for posting a ‘fire selfie’?
With a childhood shaped by wildfires and her parents' home destroyed in January’s blaze, Erin’s doing the most rational thing–turning her heartbreak and existential dread into a show.
Burn Baby Burn is Erin Hunter’s second solo show, following the success of critically acclaimed Surfing the Holyland which garnered nominations for the Popcorn/BBC New Writing Award at Ed Fringe and an Offie at Brighton Fringe.
Produced by Slackline Productions, champions of women 35+, and directed by its founder, Kristin Duffy.

The Upward Journey of a Champagne Bubble
“What would you say if your words had no consequences?”
The day has finally arrived for childhood romantics Daisy and Marmaduke – the house is clean, scented candles are blazing, expensive wine prepped in the pantry – now all is left to be done is to pass a very simple trial: love. Set in the near future where all must be in a relationship by the age of twenty-five, the lovers must prove their bond to a visiting couple of judges if they are to imagine any kind of future together. Every relationship has its flaws – but it just so happens that Daisy and Marmaduke are hiding something much bigger than just a simple blemish. And when all is laid out on the table, the fight for love becomes a bloody war...

Spin Cycle
Kitt can be a bit of a bitch. Noel can be an asshole. But they loved each other, once. Why don’t they anymore? And why don’t they even recognize one another?
Noel and Kitt enter a Launderette, but as their eyes meet, they can’t quite place where they know each other from. Over the next hour, they air their dirty laundry, chatting shit about their exes without realizing they're talking to the very same. As their clothes get sudsy, they discover more about each other, and the life they shared, until they start to remember who they were (or are) to each other.
Memory is a tricky thing- it can make us forget things it deems painful. But what happens when we come face to face with those memories? How hard will your mind work to keep you in the dark?
Spin Cycle is a queer love story about the space between loving someone and not, forgetting and remembering, and dirty and clean clothes. It is a bittersweet, absurdist piece that delves into a complex relationship and explores how love can affect someone long after it is forgotten.
“Berserk Theatre” is co-run by Zofia Zerphy and Vilde Bjorkedal. Spin Cycle is their third play, following An Average Family (★★★★ – Adventures in Theatre Land), and their debut play How to Urn a Living, ( ★★★★ – Everything Theatre, ★★★★ – Theatre and Art Reviews).

Am I Losing My Mind Or Just My Figure?
Fin a freelance illustrator is working a zero-hour contract as a cycle courier, her free-spirited and unconventional approach to life at odds with the expectations of those around her. Her discovery in her late twenties that she is pregnant leads her to confront her own belief systems and examines the othering of expectant mothers.
'Am I Losing My Mind Or Just My Figure' premiered at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 24 years ago winning a London transfer to the Pleasance in London.
New elements have been introduced since its first outing in 2001, with actor and theatre maker Genevieve Labuschagne collaborating with the show’s originator Sam Holland-Bunyan.
This version, whilst maintaining much of the original considers some of the crises that Labuschagne has herself experienced as a woman in her late twenties attempting to manage the pressures of an unconventional career, misguided relationships, and the decision to have a child.
“A delicate and wistful reflection on pregnancy, something rarely explored in the theatre" The Stage
"One of the braver, more sensitive, and infinitely more memorable shows on the Fringe” The Scotsman****
Inventive, physical and achingly human. The show comically explores life, pregnancy & parenthood. It shines a light on how not only so much of who we are and what we do is shaped by those who raise us but also how so much of what we experience changes us.

A two-woman play exploring cultural in-betweenness — one character, second-generation Chinese-Spanish; the other, mixed-race Danish, Nigerian, and Italian — who has long navigated multiple worlds. As they wrestle with identity, belonging, and the weight of expectations, their balloons become both a mirror of their struggles and an imaginary friend offering comfort in a world that doesn’t always understand them.
Through raw, intimate dialogues, they confront alienation, racial prejudice, and the search for home. Poignant, deeply personal, and laced with humour, Neither Here Nor There speaks to international, second-generation, third-culture individuals, immigrants, and anyone questioning their place in society. This play is for those shaped by more than one culture and belonging to all and none.
Come join us on this journey. You might just see yourself in it.

Pentheus
Lotophagi Theatre Company brings you a brand new adaptation of an Ancient Greek Tragedy: Euripides' 'Bacchae'! It’s the height of the psychedelic 60s and Pentheus, a cynical and jaded young man, believes he is being intentionally tormented by the new-age cult of Dionysus. Taking place over the course of a singular day, this play follows Pentheus as he comes to terms with his mother’s decision to abandon him in favour of joining the cult. Dionysus may claim to be a god, but that is the one thing our tragic protagonist is itching to prove wrong, even if he destroys himself in the process. 'Pentheus' is the story of a young man surrounded by sex, drugs, and social change, exposing the confusion that may lie behind the barricades of learned, self-destructive behaviours.

And Tonight No One Descends
Welcome to a world where suffering is currency, where trauma is art, and where pain is the ultimate proof of existence. In this surreal, gut-wrenching journey, a wanderer ascends a crumbling building, floor by floor, through a labyrinth of twisted memories and psychological wreckage.
Alongside them, a stranger hoards grotesque X-ray vinyl—warped, fractured, and prized for the sickness captured within. Each floor unveils a spectacle of decaying dreams, anxious stagnation, and the seductive lure of suffering as identity.
Inspired by the Jirai Kei phenomenon, And Tonight No One Descends is an experimental theatre piece which explores how pain is internalised and externalised in different ways. Will you watch from a distance, or will you recognise yourself in the wreckage? Through this journey, the play examines the universal struggle with trauma, inviting audiences to reflect on their own experiences with empathy and understanding.

Gap: the First AI Play

Director Kirill Levman on his AI collaboration: 'No, it isn't some ‘wanna-be writer’ taking an AI shortcut. Yes, I was desperate—exhausted from scouring contemporary works and fighting copyright battles. Classical plays are brilliant, but I couldn't find inspiration that fits my mood in this situation. So why not collaborate with AI? Can you watch five minutes of television without hearing about it? Welcome to a new era.'
The story follows gallery owner Kirsten Blackwood caught in a volatile triangle with her young artist boyfriend George and ambitious influencer friend Christopher. Their drawing room drama escalates when George's AI-assisted art challenges Kirsten's traditional values while Christopher pursues viral fame at any cost.
Set in the art world, the play reflects our shared anxiety about artificial creativity, echoing genuine concerns about AI's impact on human expression. The production embraces this contradiction—incorporating AI while affirming theatre's human essence. Join the conversation! Scan the QR code to enter our WhatsApp group and participate. The Love We Think We Deserve
“We accept the love we think we deserve.”- Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower
The Love We Think We Deserve is a bold, thought-provoking show about people living with Borderline Personality Disorder, how they experience the world and the struggles they face. Around 1 in a 100 people live with BPD, yet it is one of the most stigmatized mental health conditions. Online searches will reinforce harmful stereotypes and the majority of articles advise you how to “spot borderlines” – and avoid them. Rosie Cappuccino writes in her book, ‘Talking About BPD’: “A couple of clicks reveal widespread derogatory attitudes towards the condition […] YouTube videos […] warn that people with BPD are […] impossible to connect with and incapable of love. […] for many people the risks of being deemed untrustworthy, incapable or even dangerous can be too high. […] Many people […] feel safer disclosing anything but BPD.” With this play, I aim to give an insight into what living with BPD feels like and contribute to breaking down the stigma, bit by bit.
“I am not the other. I am one of you. Speak about me as if I were in the room- because I am.”

'I Call This One... Purple Rain'
“We all know the story of Rapunzel... But what if I told you history has this story all wrong?"
This is not the fairytale you grew up with. I Call This One... Purple Rain is a bold, heartfelt reimagining of the Rapunzel myth — where the long-lost prince isn’t a knight in shining armour, but the Purple One himself: Prince Rogers Nelson. Told through monologue, memory, and music, this solo show explores identity, isolation, and the power of imagination in the face of silence. Inspired by real-life stories of stolen childhoods and the healing power of pop culture, it's a raw, funny, and moving letter to the past — and to Prince.

Maudlin
You need to get to know Maud, before you can really understand her. The year is 1848 and Maud is treading a thin line between a lonely life with her surgeon husband in the middle of London, or living out her days under the roof of a woman’s institution. Exploring the unspoken experience of the autistic women who never had the chance to speak, Maudlin is an intimate look at the dynamic between sane and mad, patient and doctor, actor and character, real and play, and offers a rare example of a lead neurodivergent character in the period drama canon. Maudlin is performed by a mere cast of three; tense and claustrophobic, it asks the question of how much has really changed for women? And eventually, by the end, you may feel you know Maud a little better.

Girls on Fire
Girls on Fire follows the story of Hannie Schaft and Freddie and Truus Oversteegen, three young women who were fundamental in the Dutch resistance during World War Two. As a trio, they seduced and killed civilian traitors and Nazi soldiers, posing as ‘Moffen girls’ to gain the soldiers’ trust and lead them into the woods, where the executions took place. Girls on Fire follows the girls' journey, from their first meetings, through their time in the war, up until Hannie Schaft's execution in 1945, just weeks before the end of the war in the Netherlands. Using folksong and physical theatre to enhance the story-telling, this multidisciplinary piece challenges the audiences’ perceptions of conflict and morality, serving as a reminder of the timeless evidence of violence, war and those who rise against it.

Silent Approach
‘Silent Approach’
written by Caroline Lamb / directed by Helen Parry
A one-act play based on real events.
When the treatment received in a secure unit would be considered assault in the outside world, can we really call it care?
In 2007, Rebecca House was a serving police officer with the Lancashire Constabulary. In the midst of a severe mental health breakdown, during which she tried to end her own life, she was arrested by her own colleagues in her own home.
She was then sectioned under The Mental Health Act with her parents tirelessly campaigning for her release.
Silent Approach, based on Rebecca’s book, Police To Paranoia, is the theatrical re-telling of her arrest, detainment, and her experiences at the hands of the professionals whose actions and decisions were to shape her future life and health
Content warning: Mental health struggles (paranoia, psychosis, depression), ableism, descriptions of death, suicide, depictions of violence, strong language
(Through her Lancashire-based organisation S.I.S. Strength In Struggles, Rebecca works tirelessly to provide fee-free alternative therapies to those struggling with their mental health.)

Noli: Too Long/Too Difficult/Too Raw Short Film Festival
Making its fourth appearance, and second at the Etcetera Theatre in Camden, Noli is the festival for short films too experimental, too daring, too ‘amateur’ or simply too long for the mainstream circuit. We want to establish an independent network of our own that values cinema and creativity, outside of the corporatised events that have come to dominate the scene. With this event, you are buying into cinema culture, which means having an atmosphere to be part of, a place to hang out, your own corner of London that works for you and you work for it (ie. you enjoy it!). The Summoned
This Halloween, step inside… if you dare.
Five strangers arrive at a desolate monastery, each drawn by a mysterious invitation and the promise of a life-changing ritual. But once the doors close, it becomes clear—they were never meant to leave.
As the night deepens, buried secrets rise, reality twists, and a chilling presence begins to stir. One by one, the guests are forced to confront the darkness inside them… and the even darker force they’ve unknowingly awakened.
Terrifying, thrilling, and utterly unmissable, The Summoned is a heart-pounding new horror from playwright Phoenix Benham. Set against the eerie backdrop of an ancient ruin and dripping with suspense, it’s the perfect theatrical descent into madness this Halloween season.
Some things should never be summoned.
You will never forget what you’ve seen.

The Duck Variations
‘Dying… Dying… Dying… Dying…’
Two men sit together on a bench in a park, discussing ducks, politics, nature and much more. They don’t know anything about ducks, but that won’t stop them from pretending that they do.
‘The Duck Variations’ explores human vulnerability and our fear of what comes after death. How far will we go to hide our insecurities from others at the expense of deeper human connection? This production poses the same questions that David Mamet’s play did in 1972, set within our highly competitive and sometimes isolating modern corporate world.
This amateur production of “The Duck Variations” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk.

The Fool’s Flock’s Comedy About A Vampire
When plague hits the village of Bottomswort, Gunther has no choice but to leave. The last thing he expected was a Vampire named Vladd.
Be transported to the medieval village of Bottomswort where a vicious plague is racking its residents and a spate of mysterious disappearances have left the town on tenterhooks. With the arrival of the castle-loving, ‘red-wine’-drinking, sunshine-hating Vladd of Vladestan, murmurs of Vampire haunting the land start to fill the air. Gunther, with simplicity as his shield and stupidity as his sword, is quick to put himself in harm’s way.
In this love letter to sketch shows of the past, the Fool’s Flock present a tale full of gothic wonder. Blending puppetry, slapstick and poor decisions, the team are all playing to their strengths in this interactive comedy.

People
Different characters in different timelines live their lives far removed from one another.

An emotionally raw blend of memoir and song, Tracey Yarad’s All These Pretty Things is a phoenix rising from the ashes story, taking the audience from Australia and the fallout of a devastating divorce following her husband's affair with their teenage goddaughter, to New York City and an inspiring new life. An evocative portrayal of one woman’s capacity to come back stronger than ever, it is an inspirational testament to the human spirit.
'All These Pretty Things is the kind of show that demands a standing ovation.' –The List *****

Checkmate – A new play
Experience the heartaches, laughs, and life-changing revelations in this emotionally charged production. The story follows Dan, a young man grappling with the sudden loss of his father, and the unexpected helping hand of Brandon, his polar opposite and rather disliked friend. As Dan struggles with his grief, his girlfriend Alice harbours a life-changing secret. With their lives poised on the edge of new beginnings and unpredictable emotions, this play is a rollercoaster of joy, sorrow, and the power of unwanted friendship.

Who the hell is Robert Wayne?
Lily Cheng Wangshuo believed that every interaction that could have been a fist fight, should have been a fist fight, which is probably why she ended up here. Today she has two auditions, a million things to pack, and a million things to unpack. It's a lot, but thank God her boyfriend Brandon is here.
In 1834, a Chinese woman was imported to the United States and displayed as part of a sideshow attraction to accompany other Chinese goods. Now, having taken inflation into account, we thought you should be able to see something that is not quite like that for twelve pounds.

Ever wondered what sort of people would be left to rebuild the world after it ends? This brand new comedy play by The Fiascoholics takes a satirical swipe at the idiots left behind following a nuclear apocalypse.
4’s a Crowd (Or What Not to Do When Stuck in a Bunker During the Apocalypse) is a farcical fast-paced buckaroo, set in a not-so-fictional world where the rich’s power grows as their intelligence shrinks. We follow a group of five survivors - a geezer, a Welsh boy-scout, a C-list actor and two billionaires claiming to be the same person - locked in a bunker with only enough supplies for four. As Wotsits supplies dwindle by the minute, they are faced with an impossible decision… Who is getting the boot?

BLEACHED is a surging dark comedy set at the edge of climate collapse. Absurd and poetic in equal measure, it confronts us with a truly original take on the legacy we’re leaving behind.
After a sell-out Melbourne premiere, this twisted thrill ride lands in London with a warning: if we’ve f##ked it—what now?

Verbal Diary
"Verbal Diary is an absolute must-see" - A Youngish Perspective ****
Verbal Diary is a chaotic feel good show accompanied with original music by “Rock and Roll’s Greatest Failure”, John Otway. Originally written by Otway and Paul Bradley (Eastenders, Holby City, Young Ones) it has a rich comedy history having been produced by the late great Rik Mayall. 40 years on, after supporting John Otway at a festival, Actor and Comedian Tom Johnson was given a free hand to rewrite and revive the show in his own way. Both Otway and Johnson have worked closely on reviving this comedy musical originally written in 1984, with Tom keeping the spirit of irreverent and anarchic comedy well alive in his writing.
After a successfully received run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2024, it is now going on tour around England…
"Hidden Gem of the Fringe" - Fringe Review *****
Part of Chortle's 10 recommended plays to see if you're a comedy fan, it follows the life of Gordon. A hapless photographer who decides to take charge of his life, after his old one falls apart. He does this by adapting to two New Year's resolutions; 1) to keep a diary and 2) get the girl. Which happens to be his new medical student flatmate, Cheryl.
But Cheryl, along with the other two residents, wide boy Phil and Tristram the pretentious artist, have other ideas. Unbeknownst to Gordon, his new flatmates start to read his diary and anticipate his every move. Gordon must navigate his new world, of chasing Cheryl, trying to impress his unhinged boss Eric and building a friendship with Phil and Tristram. All while trying to make a name for himself as a photojournalist.
"Johnson is one of Comedy's Naturals" - Estuary Fringe Reporter
This is a tale of the underdog. Struggling to find his way through friendship, love, loneliness and realising that not everything has happy endings in the way he envisaged, in this absurd and warm hearted comedy. With a live guitarist and string section showcasing an excellent and interesting array of Otway's back catalogue and specially written tracks just for this production.
To see it is "a must" - The Scotsman
Oh, and the Set? "It must be the best piece of creative design on display at the Fringe"... See for yourself.
Verbal Diary by Johnson, Otway and Bradley

Extra Ordinary
Rachel and Max are an ordinary couple, living ordinary lives until something extraordinary turns everything upside down. Now they have the single most important decision of their life to make.
They piece together their thoughts, bit by bit, good and bad, speaking the things you shouldn’t say and contemplating the never ending ‘What ifs’.
Extra Ordinary follows Max and Rachel as they consider the news that their unborn baby will be born with Down’s syndrome. They are faced with many life-changing decisions -- should they proceed with further testing, how will their lives change, what complexities will their child have, will they be able to support their child? The list goes on. Ultimately, is there a right decision?
Extra Ordinary is an emotional rollercoaster, exploring the differing perspectives of a mother and father. As they debate, reflect, and consider all the possibilities, the question remains, will they reach a conclusion?
This piece of new writing examines the progress of science and the effects of the high- risk methods used to test mothers in similar situations today. Extra Ordinary is a powerful, thought-provoking experience that will leave you pondering, what you would do in their position?
Following the performance there will be a post-show Q&A with the actors and playwright.
