Beneath Still Waters is a solo performance developed during an artist residency at WOMB, Mexico City, 2024. The show blends storytelling, original music, and absurd comedy, using the familiar narrative of the ugly duckling to explore themes around identity, validation and beauty ideals.

Rebecka Öberg (they/them) is a Swedish performer and theatre maker based in London. Their work spans theatre, film and radio, with a focus on comedy, devising and interactive performance. They co-created the award-winning Why I am an Avocado (Best Comedy, Greater Manchester Fringe 2021) and have worked with BBC Proms and Radio 3 through the BBC Open Music scheme.

They have trained at Rose Bruford College, Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático, Upright Citizens Brigade and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
