Journey of Whispering Dreams

From a depressed year of mental turmoil and the loss of time in high school within the education system of China, a girl’s healing journey goes far away from her hometown in southwestern China, to the sea waves of the very south of China and then to the snow of England.

The journey of ups and downs makes it to dreamy places like a stage four hundred years ago, where we meet a Ge Ji 歌伎 (female professional performer and courtesan) in ancient China, with her pleasures and melancholy.

As the red water-sleeves billow in the air, the journey takes us towards a moving and peaceful space.

A show blending poetry, physical movement, soundscapes and Chinese Classical dance.

All in a silky swirling dream.
