LEOTARDS, MUSIC, SATIRE,

AND THE BRITISH DREAM

United Kingdom, 23rd of June, 2016.

The Great British Country has spoken — We are no longer Europe.

So unfortunately, Europeans, you are no longer welcome.

But attention! We still are a kind and inclusive country, with an undeniable sense of justice. And tonight, we will give a lucky European a chance to remain in this, our great Great Britain.

Tonight, our contestants, carefully chosen among thousands of thousands, are all ready for their Europeanness to fade. But only one, only the winner of tonight's contest will become… MISS BREXIT.

“I think this piece is deeply relatable to any person who had to move, doesn’t have to be London even. The issue of having to decide how deeply you want to assimilate and loose some parts of your identity in the process is very accurate.” [Audience Member]

This show was created with real people’s stories. They all deal with the consequences of Brexit affecting their lives in England and their future as performers.
It satirically explores the struggles of being a migrant, boldly shedding light on effects of cultural assimilation.

“I enjoyed it from beginning to end, we couldn’t stop laughing.” [Audience Member]

“Wasn’t what I was expecting, just unbelievable. Hilarious, brilliant, I loved every bit of it.” [Audience Member]

“Miss Brexit brought up feelings that I had when I first moved here that I hadn’t thought about in almost four years. It was beautiful and I am grateful for you reflecting the immigrant experience.”  [Audience Member]
