Mother There Art Thou follows oddball siblings Charlie and Murphy, who don't remember a world outside their remote home. They are strictly governed by "The Rules", but when their mother meets an untimely demise, the siblings must figure out which parts of their reality to keep and which to break.

Writer Thomas Kirby was awarded the WriteForTheStage Prize for New Writing for this play at the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival in 2022. This production is fully restaged for its London debut.

Director Olivia Cole first gained prominence in Germany as lead director of Shakespeare Reloaded, and later as the Artistic Director of Berlin Open Theatre. Her Berlin-based productions made multiple tours to the Edinburgh Fringe and the RSC Dell Summer Stage. In London, her work has been performed at Riverside Studios, Pleasance Theatre, Theatreship, and the White Bear Theatre. Her most recent credits include Fun at Parties (Theatre Verlängertes Wohnzimmer Berlin / theSpace UK Edinburgh) and The Nether (Caryl Churchill Theatre).
