Gorgon Syndrome (VOILA! Festival)

  • 265 Camden High Street London, England, NW1 7BU United Kingdom (map)

Four women. Four real stories of violence. One Medusa waiting to be heard.
A Journalist who controls everything except her painful past. A Wife trying to get pregnant so she no longer has to fake orgasms. A Stripper with a psychology degree whose life splinters from a night they said wasn’t violence. A Witness who swallows her silence until it begins to consume her body. And Medusa extracts the truth hidden within their stories. The truth they are too afraid to tell even to themselves.
Drawing on the myth of Medusa and blending physical theatre, ritual, original music, and sign language, the performance explores how sexual trauma settles in the body, reshapes everyday life, and survives in silence.
A theatrical ritual where real women’s testimonies meet an ancient myth — and trauma, at last, finds its voice.
