House of Shame (VOILA! Festival)

  • 265 Camden High Street London, England, NW1 7BU United Kingdom (map)

House of Shame is an electric show about the dirty things women are told to keep to themselves. Framed by the experience of growing up as a girl in Brazil, the show is, ultimately, a collective experiment in raw vulnerability. Join in for a liberating journey through a messy, irreverent, tropical ritual of soap and sweat.

*You can expect cringy memories, ass-shaking and slutty nuns.

Reviews

'A perfect blanket of unsettling, funny and crushingly honest. Renata draws every shameful memory to the surface, yet wraps it in a strange, reassuring, comforting blanket, reminding you we're all just as weird as each other.' - Audience response

'This is one of those plays that you just can't wait to talk about as soon as you leave' - Audience response

'The ability to make the audience go from laughter to being able to hear a pin drop is phenomenal' - Audience response

'It helf my delicate heart in its hands, washed it, and returned it to me fuller and kinder to myself than it had been before' - Audience response
